We know Gotcha Day is super exciting and possibly overwhelming, so here are a few things to note during the first week of having your new pup.

FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS

Archie has brought immeasurable joy into our lives! From his adorable antics to his unwavering loyalty, he's truly become an integral part of our family. His gentle demeanor and playful spirit make every day brighter. He is an irreplaceable companion!

We're endlessly grateful to be apart of the Heavenly Paws AL alumni.

We couldn't be happier with our Goldendoodle, Remington, from Heavenly Paws AL!

From the moment we brought him home, he's been a bundle of joy and affection. His friendly nature and playful spirit make him the perfect addition to our family.

Heavenly Paws AL provided exceptional service, ensuring a smooth adoption process and offering great support.

We highly recommend Heavenly Paws AL for anyone looking to add a loving, well-bred Goldendoodle to their home!

We are so thankful to have found you when we were looking for our little golden doodle!

Rusty keeps us on our toes, always laughing at his antics and amazed how smart he is!  I cannot even express how much I love him and the happiness he brings our family! We now have to spell a lot of words so he won't understand what we say!

I could not have asked for a baby more perfect than him!

Thank you so much to the team at Heavenly Paws AL and Karolyn for raising such beautiful and loving puppies!!

Paw-sitive Praise from our Alumni

Unless noted, your pup eats two times a day and is generally free fed. They are nourished with:
  • Purina Puppy Chow Complete (Blue Bag)
  • Mix two teaspoons of Pedigree Wet Food into kibble
  • Dollop of Pedigree Wet Food on top (like whip cream on Jell-O)

THESE ITEMS ARE READILY AVAILABLE AT WALMART, DOLLAR GENERAL AND OTHER BIG BOX GROCERY STORES.

PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE YOUR PUPPY’S DIET UNTIL YOUR VET RECOMMENDS TO. YOUR PUPPY’S TUMMY IS FRAGILE AND ABRUPTLY CHANGING THEIR DIET MAY TRIGGER UNINTENDED PROBLEMS.

Purina Puppy Chow Complete

Pedigree Chopped Chicken

Nutrical (found on Amazon, from your vet, or Pet Stores)

To give Nutrical or other high calorie supplement, simply put a bit on your finger and let the puppy lick it off, or place on the roof of their mouth.

AT HOME

For the first few days, your new friend may be a little scared with the giant life change they just experienced. They may not eat or drink much, but just be patient and kind. They may take a bit of time to adjust, but we promise it will be worth the wait.

Play Pen & Crate Set Up

Have a dedicated playspace with a crate and playpen for your new friend.  Do not let your puppy wander around the house unattended for several days. Use a leash and collar to help guide them. Just like babies, puppies get cranky when they are tired and need a nap.

Snuggle Puppy

A Snuggle Puppy will likely help ease the transition away from litter mates into their new home. This simulates the heartbeat of the mother and can provide acomfort.

Puppy Proof Your House

Puppy proof your house by using baby gates and securing trashcans, cabinets, cords and cables, and anything else that may be enticing for a puppy to chew on.

Like infants, they are teething and will be eager to chew. Frozen Baby Carrots or Ice Cubes can help alleviate their discomfort and keep them entertained.
